the animals’ ballet volume 2

The Animals’ Ballet Vol. 2 is the second and last part of Beate Marion Willma’s The Animals’ Ballet - a collection of twelve pieces for piano (four hands) inspired by the art work of Danish artist Hans Scherfig.

Volume 2 includes the following 6 pieces:

  1. The Unicorn

  2. The Threatened Animals

  3. Dance of the Dragonflies

  4. The Snake

  5. Monkeys by Day and Night

  6. The Tapirs’ party

In the book, each piece is introduced by a short poetic text written by Beate Marion Willma. The book also includes an introduction to how the music can be used to teach piano students different techniques and translations of the poetic texts into Danish, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

Below, we provide a small description of each piece and what to expect.
